Hello Games released their 1.2 version of No Man’s Sky today, the Path Finder Update. The update claims, according to the games update page to, introduce planetary vehicles, base sharing, PS4 Pro support, ship/weapon specialization, permadeath mode, and much more. It then goes on to say, “It shows a path for the future.” Does it though?

With only six days before Christmas, Gearbox Software still has yet to release the winter update for Battleborn it keeps promising. The company has been talking about the update since at least the 6th. The game originally released on May 3rd of this year and was initially met with strong sales but only slightly above average overall review scores. Still things were looking promising for the new IP from Gearbox until Blizzards new team shooter Overwatch released on the 24th of the same month.

A few days ago, YouTube’s biggest star PewDiePie, whose real name is Felix Kjellberg, posted a video with an astounding declaration. At 50 million subscribers, he claimed, he would delete his channel. That amount by the way, is one never reached on YouTube. When the video was uploaded the subscriber count for the channel around 48 million. Die hard fans of video game streamer cried out in terror, while those who feel a man making millions for playing video games on the internet is an absurd notion cried out in delight. Could it happen? Would it happen? The internet lost its collective mind waiting to find out. So did it?

All aboard the hype train! Today at the Sony Experience 2016 event, developer Naughty Dog announced a sequel to the massively popular 2013 title The Last of Us. Part II, as its being called, is still early in development according to Creative Director Neil Druckmann. Fans did get a glimpse at what’s to come however in a trailer featuring a slightly older Ellie playing a somber tune on an acoustic guitar.

For the last few days all over various internet outlets various posters have claimed to find the as yet unseen in game Pokémon Ditto. Today in an update notice posted to their official site and Twitter page, the rumors have been proven to be true. According to the post, there is a chance after catching a Pokémon in the wild that it will be revealed to be the shape shifter Pokémon Ditto. If the Pokémon is used to fight at a Gym it will copy the appearance, type, and moves of the first Pokémon it sees.
Pokémon Go is free to download and play on both Android and iOS.
7 a.m. today, Lego tweeted that the long time Wii U exclusive, Lego City Undercover will be getting released on all current generation consoles, including PC and the yet to be released Nintendo Switch. It was then retweeted by the team that made the game an hour later, oddly enough.
Personally I’m very excited to hear the news. As an avid fan of the Lego gaming franchise this game has been my white whale. Idle-Hands will report any new information as it comes to light.
Everyone knows the old phrase, “the pen is mightier than the sword.” While this could be completely accurate, I don’t think it would quite hold up in the world of Tamriel; though the creators of that world, Bethesda, do seem to agree and have decided to shield themselves by only releasing review copies to various media outlets just one day before launch. While many would cry out this is anti-consumer it’s quite a bit more complicated than that.
